2. What data we collect and why

Contact form

When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and company name. We use this to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address. We use this to send you updates about our products and services. Legal basis: consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter.

Website analytics

We collect anonymised data about how visitors use our website, including pages visited and time spent. Legal basis: consent (via cookie banner).

Microsoft AppSource leads

When you acquire one of our products via Microsoft AppSource — either by selecting “Contact me” or completing a product installation — Microsoft shares your contact information with us as the publisher. This may include your first name, last name, email address, phone number, country, company name, and job title. We use this information to follow up on your interest and support your onboarding. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Client engagements

During the course of our work together, we may process personal data on your behalf as part of delivering our services. In this context you are the data controller and we act as data processor. This is governed by a separate data processing agreement.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the following service providers:

  • Hosting provider – GoDaddy — for website hosting
  • Email provider – Microsoft — for sending and receiving email
  • Newsletter platform – Microsoft — for managing newsletter subscriptions
  • Analytics provider – GoDaddy — for website analytics
  • Microsoft AppSource — for distributing our products and sharing lead data with us

All service providers are contractually bound to process your data only on our instructions and in accordance with GDPR.

5. Microsoft AppSource

Our products are distributed via Microsoft AppSource. Microsoft acts as an independent data controller for data collected through their platform. When you interact with our listing on AppSource, Microsoft may collect and process data in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Microsoft shares your contact details with us when you express interest in or acquire our products. We use this data solely to follow up on your enquiry and will not use it for any other purpose without your consent. For full details see the Microsoft Marketplace lead management documentation.

6. What our AppSource products collect

Our products run entirely within your own Microsoft tenant. The Apps Bakery does not collect, access, or transmit any data from your environment. Specifically:

  • We have no access to your Dynamics 365 or Azure data
  • No telemetry or usage data is sent to The Apps Bakery
  • All data remains within your own Microsoft tenant at all times

However, in the following situations we may receive personal data:

  • Support requests — if you share screenshots, configuration details, or log files, these may contain personal data
  • Implementation services — if you engage us for implementation, we may access your environment. A separate data processing agreement will be put in place.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — request we correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request we delete your data
  • Objection — object to how we process your data
  • Restriction — request we limit processing of your data
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format

8. Cookies

We use cookies to make our website function and to understand how visitors use it. You can manage your cookie preferences via our cookie banner.

9. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, in accordance with GDPR Article 32.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
